Kickboxing Belts Up for Grabs at ONE Championship’s International Women’s Day Event

The upcoming ONE Championship event on March 8th, International Women’s Day, will feature a showcase of the organization’s elite female talent, with the Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai titles on the line in the main and co-main events.

In the co-main attraction, reigning ONE Atomweight Muay Thai Champion Allycia Rodrigues will defend her belt against Spanish K-1 Champion Cristina Morales. Rodrigues, who recently suffered a loss when she challenged for the ONE Strawweight Muay Thai title, will look to bounce back in her natural weight class. Morales, fresh off a dominant TKO win over Thai icon Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak, aims to pull off another upset in Bangkok and capture the Atomweight Muay Thai crown.

The main event will see the unification of the ONE Atomweight Kickboxing title, as champion Janet ‘JT’ Todd takes on interim titleholder Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom. After a four-fight stint in Muay Thai, the American Todd returns to defend her kickboxing belt against the surging Thai rising star Phetjeeja, who is riding a 13-fight winning streak, including a decisive victory over Algerian champion Anissa Meksen to capture the interim title.

“With four of the promotion’s top female talents vying for championship gold, this International Women’s Day event promises to be a must-see showcase of the best in kickboxing and Muay Thai.”
