Rodtang Jitmuangnon to Face Denis Puric in ONE 167 Kickboxing Event
Rodtang Jitmuangnon, the Reigning ONE Championship Flyweight Muay Thai Champion, Set to Face Denis Puric in Kickboxing at ONE 167

After a lengthy nine-month break, one of Muay Thai’s most renowned practitioners, Rodtang Jitmuangnon, is poised to make his return to the ONE Championship stage. The reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai champion will face Denis Puric in a kickboxing bout at the upcoming ONE 167 event on June 7th.
Rodtang was initially slated to take on Takeru Segawa at ONE 165 in January, but a hand injury sidelined him from that matchup. However, according to ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong, Rodtang is now “100% fit, with his hands fully recovered, and he’s in top form.“
While the potential clash between Rodtang and Takeru has generated significant buzz among kickboxing enthusiasts, the focus now shifts to Rodtang’s upcoming bout against Denis Puric. Puric, who has bounced back from a previous loss with two consecutive victories, will undoubtedly enter the fight as the underdog.

Despite the promotion and Rodtang’s camp already hinting at the possibility of a Rodtang-Takeru matchup, Puric will be highly motivated to prove them wrong and pull off an upset. However, the booking of this fight has raised some eyebrows, as Puric has primarily competed under the ONE Muay Thai ruleset and has expressed a desire to challenge for the title, which is not scheduled to be defended until at least 2025.
The co-main event of ONE 167 will feature a ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Championship bout between Tawanchai P.K.Saenchai and Smokin’ Jo Nattawut. Kickboxing fans will eagerly await the action-packed night of combat sports at the upcoming ONE 167 event.
