Marat Grigorian Reveals Chingiz Allazov has Vacated ONE Championship Kickboxing Title

In a recent Instagram Live session, renowned kickboxer Marat Grigorian shared some intriguing news about the status of the ONE Championship featherweight kickboxing title. According to Grigorian, his former opponent Chingiz Allazov has relinquished the title, leaving it vacant.

“Yes, Chingiz gave back his title, so it’s vacant now. I asked Chatri about it, but they are silent about it.”

However, it appears that Allazov’s relationship with ONE Championship has been strained for some time. The champion has made it clear that he is not aligned with the promotion’s direction and is exploring alternative opportunities. Despite signing a contract that runs until December 2026, Allazov and his team have expressed a desire to relinquish the title ahead of the interim title fight between Superbon and Grigorian, which took place in April.

Grigorian, who recently secured a knockout victory over long-time rival Sitthichai, is once again setting his sights on the featherweight title, preferably outside the confines of Thailand.

“They appreciate Muay Thai rules, but I’m a clean kickboxer. I need to be judged by kickboxing rules,” the Armenian fighter explained.

The departure of Allazov leaves ONE Championship with a vacant featherweight title and an opportunity to establish a new hierarchy in its most competitive kickboxing division. Chatri Sityodtong has hinted at the announcement of an upcoming Featherweight Grand Prix, which could determine the new champion.

As for Allazov’s future, the details are still being finalized, but the fighter has confirmed Grigorian’s statement. Japan appears to be a destination of interest for the former champion as he explores his next move.
