Kickboxing fans, the wait is finally over! The pairings for the inaugural round of the highly anticipated K-1 70 KG Grand Prix have been officially unveiled, setting the stage for an exhilarating display of skill and determination on March 20.
Although the tournament may not feature the sport’s most illustrious names, the first K-1 MAX event since 2014 promises to be a thrilling showcase of up-and-coming talent. Fourteen participants from diverse backgrounds will battle it out in a quest to emerge victorious and claim the coveted title.
The opening bracket features a captivating lineup of matchups, pitting athletes from across the globe against one another. Wajima Hiromi of Japan will face off against the Netherlands’ Darryl Verdonk, while China’s Ouyang Feng takes on Germany’s Pascal Schroth. Umar Semata of Uganda will lock horns with Japan’s Rei Nakajima, and Bulgaria’s Stoyan Koprivlenski meets Poland’s Kacper Muszyński. The action-packed card also includes a clash between Armenia’s Zhora Akopyan and Ukraine’s Taras Hnatchuk.
