Kickboxing Fans Gear Up for GLORY’s Exciting Return to Europe
Last weekend, GLORY, the premier European kickboxing promotion, kicked off the year in a big way with the highly anticipated return of the Grand Prix format. Building on this momentum, the organization has announced two upcoming cards that are sure to captivate kickboxing enthusiasts.
GLORY 91: Welterweight Title Fight
First up, GLORY will make its way back to Paris on April 27th for GLORY 91. The main event will feature a thrilling title fight in the Welterweight division, as defending champion Endy Semeleer of Curaçao takes on the division’s top-ranked contender, Chico Kwasi of the Netherlands. Semeleer is coming off a dominant victory over young challenger Anwar Ouled-Chaib and will now face his first ranked opponent since claiming the title, the hard-hitting Kwasi, who recently defeated Jay Overmeer.
GLORY 92: Middleweight Title Fight
Just a few weeks later, on May 18th, GLORY 92 will take place in Rotterdam. The main event will showcase a Middleweight title fight, where champion Donovan Wisse will look to fend off the challenge of Swiss fighter Ulric Bokeme. Wisse had a tough battle against Michael Boapeah in his last outing, but managed to mount a strong comeback in the championship rounds. Bokeme, on the other hand, bounced back from his own loss against Boapeah with a decisive victory over former title challenger Serkan Özçağlayan, and now sets his sights on the division’s top prize.
Rounding out the GLORY 91 card, there will be a Welterweight matchup between Jos van Belzen and the newly signed French fighter, Cyril Benzaquen.
As the premier kickboxing promotion in Europe, GLORY’s return to the continent’s fight capitals is sure to generate immense excitement among fans and athletes alike. With championship fights, rising contenders, and new talent on the cards, these upcoming events promise to deliver world-class kickboxing action that will have everyone on the edge of their seats.
