Kickboxing Fans in Belgium and France Rejoice as GLORY Partners with DAZN

In a move that is sure to excite kickboxing enthusiasts in Belgium and France, the leading European kickboxing promotion, GLORY, has announced a multi-year broadcasting deal with the global sports streaming platform, DAZN. This partnership will allow fans in these regions to access GLORY events, starting with the highly anticipated GLORY Heavyweight Grand Prix on March 9.

The announcement comes on the heels of GLORY’s successful return to France in September 2022 for GLORY 88, which was a sold-out event held at the Dôme de Paris. Recognizing the growing popularity of the sport in the market, GLORY has revealed plans to further expand its presence in France, with the upcoming GLORY 91 scheduled for April 27 at the same iconic venue.

“I am excited to partner with DAZN in the France & Belgium region, helping to make all GLORY events even more accessible for fans. It’s an important market for us, and one in which we are fully invested in developing further in 2024 and beyond.” – Pierre Andurand, GLORY’s Chairman and Co-founder

The deal with DAZN comes at a strategic time, as the French sports landscape continues to evolve. The hiring of Brice Daumin as DAZN’s new chief executive for their French and Swiss divisions on February 15 further underscores the platform’s commitment to expanding its reach in the region. Daumin’s previous experience as a Managing Director for Canal+, a premium French television channel specializing in movie and sports programming, is expected to bolster DAZN’s efforts to secure domestic rights for Ligue 1, the top football league in France.

The growing popularity of combat sports in France, particularly with the rise of stars like Cedric Doumbe and Francis Ngannou, has also contributed to DAZN’s interest in the market. This new partnership with GLORY is part of the platform’s broader strategy to offer a diverse range of sports content to its subscribers in Belgium and France.
